At-home Sleep Monitoring
-
You will be provided all the equipment and training needed to complete at-home sleep monitoring, including EEG stickers, portable EEG recording device, and directions. You will be asked to wear the equipment for one or two nights before returning the equipment to the clinic.
This is non-diagnostic, but the results will be read by Dr. Allen Gee in order to gauge your sleep quality and provide recommendations or referrals.
-
Dr. Allen Gee will interpret the results to determine if a medical referral is warranted for an in-clinic sleep study, which would be used to diagnose sleep apnea, seizures, or other medical issues.
-
Equipment includes a wireless, velcro strap that holds a small EEG recording device. You will place 3 EEG stickers on your head. Most patients will not be bothered by the equipment while sleeping.
-
Dr. Allen Gee will interpret and discuss the results with you during the consultation.
-
The timing of your consultation with Dr. Allen Gee depends on several factors, including which assessments you have completed. If you are receiving molecular profiling, the in-person consultation is normally scheduled 6-8 weeks after the blood draw.
The results of the sleep study will be discussed, along with all other assessment results, during the consultation. Dr. Gee will make medical referrals for in-clinic sleep studies, as needed.
